Description
SMCBs are selective main circuit-breakers (SMCB) for overload and short-circuit protection in electrical installations. They offer total selectivity to downstream mcbs and outstanding selectivity to upstream protective devices due to unique current limiting selectivity.
ABB SMCB are designed for applications in installations of overvoltage category III and IV and incorporate isolation function. They are predestinated for the use in any main distribution cabinet or meter board as main protecting and disconnecting device. ABB SMCBs are independent of any auxiliary source (line-independent, no connection to Neutral necessary).The ABB SMCB range covers:
- S750 SMCBs for direct mounting onto 40mm 4-/5-pole busbar systems, short-circuit capability 25kA, E-charakteristic, 16-63A, 1-pole and 3-pole block
- S750DR SMCBs for direct mounting onto 35mm DIN rails, short-circuit capability 25kA, E- and K-characteristic, 16-63A, 1- to 4-pole, 3pole block,
- S700 SMCBs for direct flat surface mounting, 40 or 60mm busbar mounting and 35mm DIN rail mounting via adapters, short-circuit capability 25kA, E- and K-characteristic, 10-100A, 1- to 4-pole, with AUX (factory assembled, optional)
- various terminal covers (S700)
